Branding Guide
Clipper Branding & Style Guide
Short answer
A well-branded clipping page commits to one niche, uses the same clean handle and profile everywhere, watermarks every clip identically, and pins its best work, so a founder who lands on it thinks "this looks legit, I would repost this."
Start here: create your clipper account
Create or finish your clipper account on clipur.com to get matched with brand campaigns and start earning weekly. Then work through this guide so the page you clip from looks worth reposting.
What good looks like: the founder repost test
Your page has one job: when the person you clipped opens it, they should think “this looks legit, I’d repost this.” That single reaction drives reposts, follows, and campaign invites. A clipper page passes the test when five things are true at a glance:
- One obvious niche. A visitor can tell in three seconds who you clip and for whom.
- A clean handle. Readable, consistent across platforms, no random numbers.
- A consistent watermark. Every clip carries the same mark in the same place.
- Pinned proof. Your best clip sits at the top with a clear call to action.
- An active cadence. Recent posts, spaced consistently, all on-brand.
Study live affiliate pages
Before you build, look at pages that already pass the test. These are live affiliate accounts in the @clipur network on X:
For each page, note the handle format, how the bio explains who and what, where the watermark sits, what is pinned, and how captions are written. Borrow the structure, never the content.
The 10-step branding guide
- Pick one niche and hold it for 30 days: founders, spaces, sports, culture, AI, whatever you can hunt daily. Write the sentence down: “I clip [who] for [who follows].”
- Choose a clean handle. Formats that work:
@NameClips,@NameTV,@ClipsByName. Use the same handle on every platform. No random numbers or underscores stacked at the end. - Set your PFP and banner. One clear profile image everywhere and a minimal banner that matches. Turn on two-factor authentication while you are in settings.
- Write a simple bio. Who you clip, what you post, why to follow. Optionally mention Clipper University and the Clipper University X Community. Better: include your Clipur referral link.
- Pin your best clip and set your link. Pin the strongest clip with a call to action, and point your profile link at a portfolio or playlist. Refresh both monthly.
- Brand every video the same way. Watermark
@YourHandle | #ClipperU, captions on, purposeful zooms, light sound effects. Never bare-repost someone else’s upload. When a client campaign specifies its own watermark, the campaign brief overrides yours. - Hunt real moments. Emotion, insight, humor, or conflict. The core 5–10 seconds should stand alone; finished X clips often land around 10–20 seconds.
- Caption like the timeline talks. Short and punchy, one or two tags at most, and a self-reply with the full link when a call to action is useful. Campaign hashtags only when the brief requires them. The X caption masterclass covers this in depth.
- Promote the page daily. Two to three clips a day, up to three to five if quality holds. Engage early comments, share into the Clipper University X Community when allowed, and keep studying affiliate pages for structure, not copy.
- Run the launch checklist. Niche, handle, PFP, banner, bio, link, watermark template, pinned clip, two-factor authentication, and your first three on-brand clips.
Hard don’ts
- No bare reposts. Every clip gets your edit and your watermark.
- No niche-hopping. Hold your lane for 30 days before you reassess.
- No number-salad handles.
@clipz93847fails the repost test on sight. - No hashtag spam. One or two tags, and campaign tags only when the brief requires them.
- No copying edits or captions from other clippers. Structure yes, content no.
- No bought followers or botted engagement. Brands verify reach, and fake numbers end campaign invites.
- No ignoring campaign briefs. A client watermark or tag requirement always overrides your personal template.
One-week ramp
- Day 1: identity. Lock your niche sentence, claim the handle everywhere, set PFP and banner, turn on two-factor authentication.
- Day 2: templates. Write the bio, set the profile link, build your watermark and caption templates.
- Day 3: first clips. Publish your first three on-brand clips and reply to every early comment.
- Days 4–6: cadence. Two to three clips a day, engage early comments, study one affiliate page per day for structure.
- Day 7: review. Pin the best performer, refresh the profile link, note what worked, and plan week two.
